The second of our new sites has been launched.

While this site—Beroean Pickets – JW.org Reviewer—specializes in analyzing the accuracy of all publications and broadcasts emanating from the Organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses, the new site—Beroean Pickets – Bible Study Forum—will concentrate on discussing Bible truths which our community has uncovered.

One cannot build faith only by exposing falsehood.  One must have a firm foundation of truth to build on.  It is our hope this new site will be a good start toward that goal.

Often we hear from brothers and sisters who, now freed of the veil of indoctrination, are finally seeing things plainly.  Truths that were always there, but were hidden from them, now seem to jump off the pages of the Bible.  This is to be expected, for Bible truth is not the product of human intelligence and scholarly study.  Jesus used the spirit to turn fishermen into those who could defeat the wisest in the land.  It is our love of truth and of the Christ that has given us the courage to ‘despise shame’ and to overturn reasonings and face down “every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God.”  (He 12:2; 2Co 10:5)

All this is a natural and expected consequence of having opened the door of our heart to the free flow of the spirit.  It is the spirit that guides us and reveals the truth to us.

“. . .when that one arrives, the spirit of the truth, he will guide YOU into all the truth. . .” (John 16:13)

There are those who would criticize us for believing this. They would accuse us of being haughty; of thinking we know more than our betters—be they the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses, or some Bible scholar.  Those who would say this usually have one of two agendas:  Either they want us to think there is no clear way to truth, much like Pilate who asked Jesus rhetorically, “What is truth?”; or they would have us accept their teachings as truth.  No truth, or the truth of other men are both extremes which we reject.  Instead, we search the Scriptures and when we find truth we embrace it, and when we find falsehood, we reject it, no matter how esteemed the source might be in the eyes of others.

Iron sharpens iron and the spirit flows not through one man, but from all in the Christian congregation.  We who have founded this new site hope that it can serve as a meeting place for the interchange of truth as revealed by the spirit through our growing community.  We are children of God and as such, we follow no man, but the one, Jesus Christ.
